Yes, an actual 2v2 infantry tournament.
No, it doesn't have a suggestive name. Just 2v2 Tourney.

Rules and Stuff

Team Rules:
You get 1 teammate only. No subs no switching. Sign up with someone who won't disappear. Use the code and just post or PM me. It would be preferable if both players had a taleworlds account and contact info listed.
Anyone can play, but there aren't any rules protecting pings with servers, so enter at your own risk.

Loadout Rules:
You can only spend 1k gold max on your loadout.
Infantry Class only
No Ranged weapons
Everything else goes

If you're faction choice is Khergit:
Lancer class only
No horse


Fighting Rules:
Basically, you and your teammate schedule a time to fight with the team you're matched up against. You go to a deathmatch server (see "servers") and you fight. If both players on your team die, you've lost the round. Then you reset and fight again. First to 3 wins is the victor. You're allowed to reset your health, shields, etc after each fight.

Each team picks a faction to be and then sticks with it the entire tournament. No changing factions. I'd suggest a wide variety of polls and admins to ensure that your factions are available.
If you would like to go khergit, you must go lancer and not buy a horse, but it's totally allowed. Other than that though, you must always be the infantry class.

If you die, you cannot rejoin the fight until the next round (duh).

Picking up weapons is not allowed

Before each round begins, a designated person could say "go" or something to make things easier.

The map will be Arena, though the fights do not have to take place inside the ring.

Screenshots are not necessary, though you do need confirmation from someone on both teams. If your team can't be bothered to confirm the score, I'll just assume whatever was posted was accurate.

It will be a standard double elimination bracket.

If I missed something, or something comes up during the tournament that wasn't covered here, I'll just make a judgement by myself. If you don't like that judgement, sucks. I'd suggest everyone add me on steam though (redbaron24601) if you're planning on participating, just in case you wanna complain.

Scheduling Rules:
You have 1 week to fight your match. If you don't, I'll either pick a winner arbitrarily or kick out the team that clearly didn't attempt to schedule/show up, etc.

Important Dates

8/14/12: Sign ups start

The tournament will start once enough people have signed up.
The latest the tournament will start is September 1st, but I'll start at any time before then

9/1/12: Tournament starts!!
First round ends 9/9/12 at 11:59PM

Servers

The server obviously has to be a deathmatch or a battle server for this really to work. I would suggest snagging something like Balion_War_Room when it's unpopulated because I know that one's set to 1000 gold. Ra_Server is often unpopulated and set to battle as well, just don't cheat with the gold. If anyone wants to set up or donate a server for this, awesome, otherwise, just look around for now. I'm going to look into getting servers too.

East_POM looks like it will be a good spot as well. I believe it's currently set to deathmatch.
And Uni's Oval Office as well.

The US Rebel server is also available as long as a Rebel event is not going on.

As far as finding appropriate servers and all that jazz, there really isn't much to be done, since there are only so many servers available. Most of the servers are near the east coast anyway, so there shouldn't be a huge problem with Euros. If you have a problem finding a server, PM me.
If there are two Euro teams that happen to be paired up against each other, I have no problem with you fighting on a EU server.
