It won't be stuck without Secret Man and Melva. No worry that the story will move forward to the quest of put-out-to-sea and those afterwards even if you become a vassal.
You will receive an invitation from someone king after you won the National Tournament. If you accept, you will be invited for a meeting by a lord then. Like that Rongar was doing.

One quest for the vassal line.
 
Well, a lord requested me for a meeting and he told me that he does not like having peace with Vaegirs.
He tells me that he wants to do something sinister.
Is this the vassal quest? :shock:

I like that the story branches and does not care a lot about trade-offs between branches, the only thing I'm in lack is the in-game explanation, that would point on missed branches.
E.g. Secret Man might say why he … err ... it doesn't want to join.

Hm, "Warrior but not leader". What I meant to say is that your CHA will become 0 and it cannot be restored for the rest of the game.

Have you updated your game with the latest patch? That has been corrected for long time.  :grin:
 
how do you fight the swordsman guy in the arena. Have done at least 10 tournaments(won them all)
but i never fought.
Is there a perequisite like needing to have like 200 renown?

I do not think so. I fought him once after I won a Melee fight.
