In this vid a korean archer pulls off a bunch of trick shots. They're quite amazing...assuming they're real.

I can't quite tell if they're faking the shots, but what do you guys think? Real? Or another case of, "lolz let's make ourselves look good by cheating"?

Those bows have a really ****ing long stabilizer on them. It is possible if it was tweaked dead on perfect.

Bah. This is far more impressive!

Interestingly, they never show the shooter and target in the same frame.

Gregor: the Hoff approves - I approve. Funny that it's called "America's Got Talent", though, given the name of the girl.

Cool. Found this guy on the linked videos:

Plenty more of him linked from those two.

I thought she looked Russian.

You know, people CAN immigrate, and hell, they can even have sex and children! It's not like, after one generation, genetic russians lose their russian features due to not being in the motherland.

They did do a similar experiment on myth busters not long ago - the idea was whether an arrow could be split in half by another. The results where un-successful, since the wood diverted the arrow (because of the motion in flight etc.) BUT they did hit it pretty much spot on (using a human archer), and seeing as how they are using a HOLLOW arrow here, I believe its very possible ::smile:

EDIT: Oh and I also watched http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKRCXO0asGs&NR=1 after... quite interesting ::\

I find it weird how he holds the string. I practice archery a lot, and I've found to have a good release on the arrow, its best to just 2 fingers, instead of all 4. If you use all 4, the string doesnt release as 'cleanly' I guess you could say, and the arrows flight can be messed up. Then again, this might just happen to me.

Maybe he was using the "Mongolian" release, using his thumb instead of his fingers?
