"Persuade lords to stop war" conditions

Hey all. So, I've been trying to get the quest, "persuade lords to stop war" from the guildmasters of both my and a warring faction's towns. I used tweakMB to set the quest repeat interval down (to 1 and then when that didn't work, to 0), but I still only keep getting the dumb cattle quest, deliver wine quest, escort caravan quest, and occasionally, hunt bandits quest. That's it.

So, basically, my question is, are there certain conditions that have to be met before I'm given the "Persuade lords to stop war" quest? Besides the Guildmaster's faction being at war, I mean.

Heh, right, so did your quest succeed? Are the kingdoms at peace?
If so, if there is no war to go around, how can there be a peace mission?

But thinking of the lords mechanics, there might not be enough "good" lords to go around to assign the mission to. Im guessing the nature n type of lords in a kingdom might have something to do with this?

 
That's rather odd. AFAIK the stop war quest will fire up rather quickly if the two nations are at war and men are dropping left and right.
 
You just need to try harder. The quest depends on randomly finding lords with particular personalities - this can fail, particularly when one of the sides doesn't have much lords with those personalities (typically, those that are pricks).
 
Hmm... so it depends on a faction's lords' personalities? Interesting. Regardless, I kept on playing, and I finally got the quest... after like 30 days. So I guess, sometimes the game simply doesn't want to give me the quest even if it can, or maybe enough men have to die *shrug* Regardless, thx for the help!
