About Us
This unit is a part of the Armée Française

2e Regiment de Mamelouks was founded on 10 April 2011 by Artizan and Nemeruis and is the first Turkish regiment. Now; it's still being administrated by them.


History
Napoleon formed his own Mamluk corps, the last known Mamluk force, in the early years of the 19th century, and used Mamluks in a number of his campaigns. Napoleon's famous bodyguard Roustam Raza was a Mamluk who had been sold in Egypt.

Oh you guys were the cavalry for the Garde Impériale, I remember! I think you disbanded just as I joined the 18e, but I still remember being told how you guys were the best cavalry on MM. Best of luck with this reformation.

I have yet to see another cavalry regiment fiercer than the Mamelouks, I remember when I served as Col-Gen.Herlevs aide-de-camp in an army battle, and I saw you completely slaughtering whole regiments in a few seconds while nary taking a loss, great to have you back!
