Musicians are becoming a vital part of Mount & Blade: Napoleonic Wars, and so 5th Brigade is starting a
program to recruit those musically inclined and train them to become the most effective on the battlefield.

The Royal Corps of Music will offer the following advantages to those who sign up:

Training in how to best use your abilities as a musician to benefit the regiments.
A guaranteed musician spot during large and small line battles that 5th Brigade is involved in.
Training in combat (shooting and melee), should you wish it.
Options to fight as part of any regiment in the Brigade (Line, Cavalry, Skirm, Engineer, Artillery) should you want to try them.
A lot of fun, playing with a large number of people in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Once a musician has finished their training, they can choose to join one of two bands that are currently part of the Corps:

The Band of the Grenadier Guards
The Band of the 1st King's Dragoon Guards

Once the musician has chosen his band, he will begin to take part in practices with his fellow bandmates, as well as perform with his band at Brigade Training Events. Although musicians are required to choose a Regimental Band, they are still able to accompany any of the 5th Brigade Regiments in battle, but they will be wearing the tags of their chosen band.

In the future I hope that the Corps will grow large enough that we can start lending out musicians to non-5th Brigade regiments who require some musicians for a line battle; so essentially not just 5th Brigade, but smaller (and larger) regiments that need all the muskets they can muster can benefit from the Corps.

In short, this is aimed at the players who want to take music to the next level, and play in line battles without being forced to take a musket. Please post below if you are interested, and if you would like more information, come and speak to us on Teamspeak.

Good luck :!:

How to use the music system, what tracks to play when, how to move with the regiments, where to stand to make the most use out of their bonus. They're just a few things off the top of my head.
