[WB][S]Lords of Might and Magic: Before The Reckoning

Ahoy!
This mod will be based on the world of Might and Magic, and will be focusing on the events before the Reckoning is about to happen. Thus, the troop types and town types will be mostly based on the:

We are hoping to offer you a different kind of gameplay, let's say a more strategic. Not much details will be given until any kind of beta relase. I want it to make you hit!

Some Features
-Lots of new quests.
-Magic (otherwise it would be Lords of Might and Might :P)
-New Races
-Challenging gameplay - Goodbye to the sandbox kind of singleplayer.
-New items, new animations, music tracks and lots of stuff a mod should have.


Even though, nearly all of the troops are being decided they will not be revealed until further progress. If you're familiar with the Might and Magic world, you must be knowing most of them already. Also note that Regnan Pirates are also added to the Game, in the Horn of the Abyss.

Our team is recruiting currently. Newcomers are welcome as well. Everyone is welcome to the mod team, as long as they try to do something.
Currently, we are in need of a skilled mapper, someone who can make new skeletons and lots of modellers.

Thank you everyone. I think you should thank to Thane Wulfgharn mostly, as he made all those golems, weapons himself.
Seems like at least a quarter of the people and place names in this game have no clear pronunciation based on how they're written, and since the voice-acting is limited to "I will drink from your skull!" without any reference to where or by whom the drinking will occur, we can't rely on the game's pronunciation, either.

How do you plan to implement all the non-humanoid monster/troops types? (hydras, dragons, medusas, etc.)

Orc&Orc Chieftain Axes

Changes from Heroes 3:In Heroes 3 Orc has 1 Double-Bladed Axe while Orc Chieftain dual-wields 2 Double-Bladed Axes.Since in M&B dual wielding is nearly impossible,and to make the difference between Orc&Orc Chieftain I decided to make the Orc Axe more crude and 1 bladed.

This models also are the last weapons for the Stronghold town.

@Ronin:I think to give Orcs&Orc Chieftains shields beacause throwing-weapon troops in Mount and Blade aren't exactly the Ranged troops in Heroes 3 due to engine differences.A throwing M&B troop has a weaker ranged so we need to make Orcs&Orc Chieftains more stronger in melee.

Hmm, the same problem will apply to other creatures as well. Gogs and Master Gremlins will be the same. Even Master Gremlins are not supposed to be powerful troops and Gogs are supposed to have area of effect specialy when they became magogs, I think this may create a major problem for the Cyclopses (not really sure if this is the correct plural form of the word) as they will be 6th tier for the stronghold. Perhaps for some other troops as well, there will be lots of troops don't expect me to tell all of them :P

We may try to increase their power throw and weapon proficiency to a very high number. Although this still doesn't seem as the most appropriate solution.
Edit: And for the shields, I think we should try to make throwing based troops to be competitive in ranged as much as others. Then we might think of this aspect. Let's do not forget throwing troops will be more competent in melee combat, while archer type of troops will be not competent at all (medusas and evil eyes are some exceptions of course). Which makes a sense of balance in some kind of way.
