Its like a little sword, with a fuller and pommel and everything. Is it too swordy? Should it be simpler?

Great work Talon, the daggers look wonderful.

I know what you mean about looking "swordy" though.

What about rondel daggers and ballock daggers? They're more dagger-like:

I promise I haven't abandoned this. I've just been busy with working on scabbards and other random stuff for TLD. when there's a release there (or I finish my crap) I'll do more here

Perhaps you could use RRaptor's Reeve for the longsword? I already made a scabbard for it:

I'll try the spear, pike, quarter staff, iron staff and wooden staff, but I'm new to modelling and don't know at all how to texture. I'll just show screens of the models that I make and ask someone else to texture? or teach me to texture! Haha, just kidding, if anyone can direct me to a texturing guide, I'd be grateful. (I'm using Wings3D)

EDIT: here's the pike:

and the texture (which I based the pike on, made a small liberty on the butt of the pike):

Yeah, i know it doesn't look good.

Sounds good, I've been working on other stuff too so I understand. I look forward to your contribution.

The scabbard looks great. I'm having real troubles with them.

There are probably several from RRaptor that the project could use. I'll have to look through them to see . . .  then ask

texturing in wings3d thanks to Yoshiboy http://mbx.streetofeyes.com/index.php/topic,19.0.html I could tell you how to do it in gmax or 3dsm, but don't know anything about Wings.
You'll also need a paint program. GIMP is free but I don't know how much support it has for DDSs. I prefer Paintshop Pro but you can't save alpha channels (shininess) to DDS. I happen to have both PSP and Photoshop so I do the alpha'ing in PSP and save as a TGA import into Photoshop and save as DDS. I will do alpha channels for you if you provide the texture. I won't do the texturing and mapping though, as it is the most time consuming thing in the whole process.

It's not bad, don't worry. Here's my first model. http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s316/Eother1/Screen03.jpg

Here's my latest one, a walmart checkout stand.

You'll get better as you practice!

Update:
This isn't dead. I've got about 10 models done, but I'm have problems with the textures ingame. I'll be away and unplugged for two weeks. So everybody keep working. I expect this to be done by the time I get back

My armor is still making slow progress. Got the boots finished and the gauntlets done except for the fingers.

I'd love to help, but unfortunately I have never gotten to the point where Wings3D is a third arm. So I will have to wait, and I tell you, I will certainly look forward to this upgrade.

I apologise for not replying in quite some time, but uni work finally caught up with me. I have done the models for two of the axes though. I have just one more exam and then I'll have a lot more free time to spend on this. Just to let you know "I'm not dead".

It's so sad watching this die slowly trough the ages. 2 weeks are already gone and still no news from him.

Its not dead I swear. I'm just a little unmotivated at the moment cause nothing I've done is turning out very good, mainly texture/alpha problems.

Well I hope this gets finished, its a great project, which will make all participants heroes to be remembered throughout the ages!

Me, well I'm a level designer and writer so modelling/texturing is not my forte. Sorry I can't contribute in any way except perhaps moral support, or the odd sexual favour?

I'll do section 2, if no-one else wants it.

I also notice there's been no posts since June... tsk, tsk.
