This thread is for any discussion related to the fixtures of the related week and division. Any comments, predictions or reactions are fully welcome here.

This thread may also be used for Scheduling but it's advised that teams schedule matches using the contacts, listed in the Team Contacts and Rosters thread. All server booking should be done in the Server Booking thread.

Match Results should be posted here, along with screenshots.

All matches are subject to the same Rules and Regulations. Make sure you verify your roster, before each match. No sympathy will be given, for accidental mistakes.

Verifying your roster:

It is advised that you have a member of your team install the ENL Admin Mod client to perform additional ID checking functions on the official servers. With that client installed, on the official servers, the "Print IDs" function is available, allowing you to view the IDs of all the players in the server. Press 'L' to keep them on screen by viewing recent logs.

Check these IDs against the IDs in your roster, here: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,177649.0.html

The rest is already written:
Teams found to have been using anyone with a game ID that is not on their roster, will forfeit all the rounds in which that player (or those players) played.

Don't forget to check the IDs of any players that join during the game.

If there is a player, who is on your roster by name but not by ID, they must change to whatever other game installation they previously used. Remember, ID is tied to the serial number of the game.

There are no excuses for mistakes. You agreed to the rules and it's your responsibility to play by them.

is it worth thinking about not letting same factions be played in one match? Looking forward to these matches. CoR and Vaeringjar could be fun as well as Ref vs. RR
 
Yes, Sandisomething and Frosty Battle are the most played maps in ENL DIV. A which is fine but a better balance would be much appreciated. We have a lot of Factions and maps to choose from which should be played fairly equally during the tournament imo.
 
Nah Sandiboush is fine, action and decision is quick, and there is a bit of rock-paper-scissor in the choice the commander makes, and Frosty Battle is fine also, pretty tactical, besides all flags are closer to hill spawn, making the lake part of the map compltely useless.
I am currently preferring playing those maps rather than Snowy Village (crap map in itself) or Field by the river (played it too much, teams always do same tactics).

They still need some fixes tough. For example in Sandiboush, the two ladders are problems for horsemen. For the small ladder, if by any chance your horse puts one foot on it it stays stuck then you die, unless you dismount and continue your way on your feet. And the big ladder to access the wall close to graveyard, if you ride on it, it will stop your horse in an insane manner.

In Division A, 4 get played twice, the other 6 get played once. There's no real way to make it more balanced, without changing the number of maps.

Personally, I think playing on maps you don't like is one of the benefits of the ENL. Seeing how teams adapt and cope with different situations makes match ups more interesting. I know San'di'boush in particular has split opinion quite a lot but I think a large amount of people genuinely quite like that map. DR had a match with CoR the other day and they played San'di'boush especially well, often sending us down the wrong streets and pinning us in bad situations. As for Frosty Battle, that's actually my favourite of the new maps. Having it compact but still open means that the classes are really well balanced and it definitely tests teams' abilities to play an active game.

I have no idea what you mean by "****-optimized".

I'll look into adapting a fix for the ladders for the next cycle. I already sort of knew they messed with cav and it's an engine bug more than anything... might be a way to fix it though.

Don't really mind Sandy Bush tbh. Still not sure what I think about Frosty Battle as an ENL map though.

I think I will eat some baguettes these weeks, just as a warm up.  :cool:
