The apparent lack of death for enemy lords is probably just gross and repeated bad luck... I killed one called Fulk during my very first encounter.

If you read the posts at all above you, you would have seen that this a bug that nijis is trying to figure out.

I'd also like to point out another bug, which is town becomes enlisted as 'Player Faction' once they are done being looted, abandoned and recovering.

As for the disappearing troops, I wonder if this has something to do with some mercenaries we hire. Because right now I no longer have any in my party (only recruits from villages) and there seems to be a truce about relentless deserting :)

I found something nasty... if you engage an enemy force while they're trying to loot one of your towns and fail to beat them, it forces you to fight them again and again with only your main char and 0 HP endlessly.  Irritating due to the fact that even harmless attacks will put you down again, and their's no way to exit the battle or the game once this starts.

Also, when you go to a castle and start guarding it, if you get attacked you fight outdoors. Is this a bug or is it supoused to be that way? I'd like to defend the castle from inside.


I really like the mod even with all the bugs, good work!. By the way, I get somewhat better FPS than in the previous version.

Hi !  :D Good mod ! (in future  :wink:)
I only one question - dissapear troops - its bag or features ? I norman knights and 4 charisma  - about 30 units - so then i have about 20- 30 units after same small time units is desapear and on screen write same information like: charisma*2 = ...
WHAT it this ? feature ? (real strenge feature - after recruting dessapear after 2 hour  :x ) OR BUG ???
It´s a bug. Be patient, this Mod is still in it´s inception/playtest-phase and nijis is doing the whole thing alone.

Ok thenx ! i have another Q - after i loot enemy vilage (and why i dont sturm vilage (no fight- in vilage many enemy troops) - jast take loot ??) , that i must to do ? in map - write "looting", that next ?

About castles - i kill all (about 40 ) enemes, but 2 wonded, 1 life enemy is still in castle - no work nothn in castle text screen - i right understand -its bug ?

WhAt i must to do for advice in game ( take same new vilage for recruting troops and take castles ? or what ?)
I have good equipment and destroy many enemy troops ( 37 units + recruting before attak in vilage(only one - Monyaci (strange name ;) )about 60 units )

On the looting: Just wait until you get a message. Then you could ride into the village to a carriage, there´s an box where all the plunder is stored.
Castles: Could not answer this question yet. I am too much engaged with plundering villages, raiding caravans and defend my own fief to attack other castles! 8-)

One possible fix for the mercenaries bug, assuming its a hardcoded problem related to the party size limit, would be to go into the module file in Battle for Sicily folder and change skill_leadership_bonus from 5 to 100 (or some other figure). This should take effect even in saved games. If the problem is in the Python, however, it won't have any effect.


As for the others, I've clearly got my work cut out for me. You are supposed to be able to defend the castle from the inside, so that's another one for the list.

Just to echo it again - How can you figure out what village is yours, as in your fief, if there is anything special with it?

There are so many villages that I lost the name for mine, and can't figure it out.

Just wanted to say great job on this mod Nijis. Love the faction system and fiefs and really enjoying playing despite some annoying bugs. :)

This mod is fantastic! You just gotta love the fief system. It gives you a real feel how a feudal lord felt, defending his lands from constant attacks of his neighbors. I also really like the arms and armour you've picked for the units, gives a really realistic kick to the game.

Just a few suggestions, could you get some armoured horses in, for both arabs and byzantines?

Second, i would love to see an even more complex system of politics. So, i suggest tweaking down the rate of spawning of new vassals and their retinues. You should also allow some rudimentary form of diplomacy between enemies. So you could promise one of the enemy lords help fighting his neighbor or whatever.

Apart from the mentioned bugs(darn castle bug :/), i think you should remove the random city market spawning. It's very annoying, at least to me.

I like the fact that the spear damage and speed has been higherd, but spears are still useless.  If i had a choice for a sword or spear from horse back i would choose a sword.  You would have to time a spear thrust very carefuly to get decent damage.
