NordInvasion

We are finally going public with our mod, which is a blend of co-operative action mixed with persistent characters and a world in chaos.

Backstory:

Calradia has been at war for many centuries, and the once mighty Swadian empire has finally been defeated. The invading Nords have smashed their way through the realm decimating the Swadian armies in their way.

You represent one of the last hopes for a dieing nation, as part of Operation: Swadian Phoenix it is your job to fight back against the Nords and stop them from permanently eliminating Swadia from the map.

Features:

  • Realtime persistent character between battles.
  • Start as a recruit in the swadian army and work your way up.
  • Unique Class system allowing you to create hybrid classes, styled to your own gameplay.
  • Quests to complete for rare rewards including loot you can't find anywhere else!
  • An indepth crafting system, make sure you don't throw away that Nord's helmet
  • Great co-operative battles to defend the realm of Swadia.
  • A comprehensive stat tracking system, view your carnage in peasants per minute

We already have an active community, and we are looking to expand the player base so more people can enjoy this mod. Come join the community over at our forums and help shape the mod with your ideas / contributions.

Its a nice mod, seems like a combination of cRPG and Full Invasion. What are the crafting abilities you can get? No point in choosing a crafting way if you don't even know what it will do. What can you do with Alchemy for example?

Armorsmith and Blacksmith professions are pretty much self explanatory: Armorsmith crafts armor / shields whilst blacksmith crafts weapons. Alchemist is slightly different in that they don't mind doing some slightly creepy stuff using some odd ingredients! This will include crafting consumables such as potions/books which provide buffs over time, and other slightly dark activities such as summoning ponies for players to ride or creating amulets of the dead etc.

All in all, alchemist is one of those professions not for the faint hearted!

Interesting, especially the dark activities . Amulets of the dead? Summoning the dead or something?

The way it will most likely work is once equipped it will allow you to use special alters or devices scattered around the map. These could range in effects, with the most likely being some sort of blood exchange, i.e. for 99% of your health a team mate can be resurrected. All rather weird stuff

Ok some nice stuff.

However a suggestion: Buying should only be from other players. Shouldn't be buying from central bank. Entirely player driven economy would be pretty interesting.

****ing love this and phalanx's idea is good but then you need to implement a sytem where there is more loot and possibl when you pick up an item you have such and such a chance off keeping it.

We've recently introduced an auction hall (player to player selling). We are slowly phasing out the usefulness of the marketplace, so it will only be there for basic items/needs and the rest will be crafted/looted items made/found by players and sold by players. The idea is to have a thriving player economy and this will also play back into land and building ownership in the late game stages.

This is a really addicting mod. Gonna make a map for you, or try to at least.

That sounds awesome! We'd love to have some more maps, just bare in mind the mod takes place in a war torn / ravaged Swadia, so the theming of the map should reflect that, i.e. no deserts

Good luck! And i'm glad you're enjoying the mod
