No. We're not fixing it on purpose, so that we annoy everyone.

It's quite irritating that myself and the elves are completely dominating the orcs, yet nobody will siege anything. The orcs do not even have free reign to scout their own land anymore, but Elrond doesn't see the wisdom in a siege  .

same with rohan all that is left of isengard is isengard and all theoden does is patrol edoras i could take isengard down my self but not allowed

Certain towns seem somehow excluded from the lords' interest. Maybe giving orders to allied lords (at the cost of influence) would help, never tried it though.

I don't know if this is a similar bug or not, but it looks like Cair Andros is the only target for the forces of Mordor, no matter how big it's garrison is. Its garrison currently holds 300+ soldiers (while West Osgiliath's is around 200) but it's still the only Gondor town which constantly gets besieged.

BTW, Thranduil tells me that he's not interested in attacking Dol Guldur but wasn't it destroyed by the combined forces of Mirkwood and Lothlorien elves in the book?

I wonder if anybody has witnessed the annihilation of a faction (other than Rhun, Dunlandings and Mordor -which is kinda buggy-) in their game.

Rhun is after Mt. Gundabad in my game (and by the looks of it, it's the most frequent high priority target). Given that hasn't already been destroyed by Dale or Erebor, of course.

Dol Guldur is being destroyed by Lothlorien. Whenever they can be bothered to siege it, that is. I have yet to see a successful siege against it though.

Nope, not so far, but I am currently helping out Rohan by stalking Both Isengard and Dun, and hacking down anything that moves with a heavy heavy cavalry party (the rest I left behind at the capital). Both are currently 'fair'. I guess I'll see soon enough if my game doesn't break (day 210 here).



Also, likely a re-post, but Lothlorien lords don't seem to use any weapons in open field battles. Only their horses do the job for them. While Ghaladrim bows make sense (can't be used on horseback), Lorien war swords (I think it was) don't seem to see any action at all. Idiots just ride around, waving their hands like cheerleaders - all they need is pom-poms.

Not much of a bother, but when everything on the battle map is dead or wounded (including myself), and the only two units are Haldir and a riderless warg...Well...

Here's a temporary fix for the graphical glitches and performance problems in forest scenes. Delete everything in Data\flora_kinds.txt in your Mount&Blade folder and then copy & paste the following into it. What this does is to replace all the problematic tree types with bushes and grass etc. Ruins the scenery but seems to work.

On the contrary, capitalisation and punctuation are basic factors for judging whether a sentence is considered grammatically correct or not. In most cases the expressed proposition isn't modified because of grammatical errors though. Sometimes it is.

On the contrary, capitalisation and punctuation are basic factors for judging whether a sentence is considered grammatically correct or not. In most cases the expressed proposition isn't modified because of grammatical errors though. Sometimes it is.

I'm afraid capitalization and punctuation are in fact unrelated to grammaticality.  If a sentence had to be punctuated and capitalized correctly to be grammatical, then everything we say aloud would be ungrammatical.  They are part of the orthography, assigned by convention to represent things that in spoken language are generally indicated by prosody.  The example sentence you use is ambiguous, and punctuation and capitalization can be used to clarify the ambiguity, but there's no issue of whether it's grammatical or not. 

That said, there are certainly plenty of capitalization and punctuation errors in Uberfellow's posts, and even without any effect on the grammaticality, they definitely make it more difficult to read his writing and understand his intended meaning.  Being trained in the rules of a set orthography makes processing so many violations considerably more effort-intensive.

edit: on topic, what are the requirements for access to the chest?  I haven't been able to figure out if it's related to level, rank, or what.  I ask because the one for my dwarf seems buggy.  My characters from Isengard, Lorien, Mordor, Harad, and Gondor all have access just fine, but my dwarf has none.  It's always been either inaccessible, or else it opens up with the discard items screen and makes my stuff go away.  He's rank 11 with Erebor and well into the war, so whatever the requirements may be, I suspect he should have met them by now. 

Back to the Dwarves.  What makes them good to play?  I'd like to know, because I can't see it.  Also, where the HELL would you find a pony(I guess) for them to ride?  Been thinking of dropping the dwarf companion because he slows me down.

I like to play infantry, so I wouldn't see a problem with that. Dwarves are tough as nails, that's the appeal I suppose.

Toughness is good, but there's been a couple times I barely was able to complete a quest, due to travel time.

Only complaint about this game is, it takes to long to get to level 8 because there are no fights I can find.
