I'd be surprised if it was significantly different from the way it already works Adorno. I presume that this quote is simply marketing spiel rather than a promise to informed people (i.e. players of WFaS and other M&B games) to improve on the current sieges.

I really hope there are plans to set up a PW-esque MP server with pirates, privateers, merchants, navies, craftsmen, an actual economy that makes privateering/pirating mean something more than just stab dudes and get booty. (or stab booty and get dudes, depending on how you roll)

I´m...unimpressed.

It doesn't look bad, I mean they have new UI for the ship battles and so on. The boarding was a bit dull, they don't even have swinging ropes. (which Yoshi made in MnB 0.80:cool:

I'm not interested in this game at all, but it looks better than WFAS looked initially.

Unfortunately this isn't like any rapier fencing I've read treatises on. They way he whirls his rapier makes him only get stuck in the rigging, hence the emphasis of small-scale weapons and actions in maritime fencing. Real Italian (ca. 1600) rapier fencing would work, though, since it is largely stab-oriented. But anyway...since it's just a MBW spin-off...

Didn't even watch the video, just saw rapier and knew that it'd look silly in M&B.

The current animations would be fine for sailors with pig iron cutlasses and hand axes but not for anything more complex than a backsword.

Sadly, yes. The graphics are ****e. Most of the houses are cheap re-skins.

Woah, never seen the film before but he could have won easier and without all the wounds had he learned how to use the broadsword.  :???:

The only interesting part was the sea battle system with new UI.
You see the ship from above and sail around trying to get a good angle to fire a broadside.
It's just like in Sid Meyer's Pirates.
I didn't see any aiming options.
The boarding was then in 3rd. person. A small landing bridge connects the two ships
and a small battle with perhaps 10-15 men took place.
Then there were a scene - a small town with mostly retextured houses.
A small battle by the water. Nothing new there.
