i would aprecciate if you make regular trooptree units recruitable on some cities as some hoplites (Tegean, Eubean,Platean, Argos-ish etc..) for factions that have no special troops, as the Latins, Samnites, Dodecapoleans, Thesalian  Achaean (not sure about this last ones) etc.. or make village levies bigger ( with relation 0-5 instead of receiving 2-5 recruits you could get 7-12).
Also, the italic peninsula is a bit boring as their 4 factions are almost all the time in peace, or in war just with the athenians and Magna Graecia. you could make latins be at war with samnites when you start or the 3 factions to be in war with each other.

Those are some good points. I'm not sure I quite understand what you're saying with the top. You want earlier hoplite access for those guys like Latins and such? Was a concern with the tier based depiction of the "Five class" System of Rome and the Etruscans, it'd make hoplites super rare. It might behoove us to have the major Roman/Etruscan cities directly shoot to a usual hoplite tree of unarmored, lightly armored, and cuirassed.

I think what he is saying is, not only is it downright boring to have to wait such along time for your basic recrutes to level to elit soldiers while other factions can recruite well trained levis directly from their cities but also it is hihly unbalanced. Therefore he is saying that the best choice would be to add levis to those factions also, samnites etc, to balance it out. Btw he didn't mean hoplites just levis part of their own troop tree.
this, and my english sucks.

I don't know if it has already been wroten, but the cavalary lance is REALLY overpowered (80 damage with on a small speed), the mod is already awesome, but the battle disapointed me, spartans die like villagers(the haven't (I hope yet) archers and cavalary) by archers, cavs and Hoplites
It's only the first alpha, so I hope this all will be changed
Thx for the ALREADY great mod

With Spartans you need to form phalanx in square's, to minimize casualities.

Spartans perform better in that than in Ranks against those type of enemies

Cavalry and archers are easy to overcome with the right tactics. Some things will be tweaked though.
But how I can overcome archers if I haven't a cavalary? I think f=we have to do a topic "Peloponesian War Tactics"

If you wait at a long distance, you can't get casualties by archers.
Then attack after their arrows are gone.

After I saw Delian Marines at work, I won't mess around with archers..

Is it possible to make a script so the shield bashing would be activated after strength 20 or something like this??? because its annoying when i fell down from a shield bash from a soldier with low strengh and i have for example strenght 30... I dont know if this is possible but i think it would give a different perspective in the game...

or from the bashing you can also push the enemy back (exept from making him fall down..) so you can increase the distance between the player and the enemy...

I also would like to mention that i think there aren't any female ancient greek clothes. This link shows some casual male and female clothes and female hairstyles http://www.fashion-era.com/ancient_costume/ancient-greek-dress-chiton.htm

I remember from the TPW in the old m&b that when i was changing my character's facial characteristics when i was increasing the nose bridge the nose was becoming a typical greek nose. I was wondering if this can be done again in m&b warband

Maybe you could make a option in the Mod Option's in camp, to turn the shield bash on/off. I'll just that "some people" don't like getting bashed in the face with shields.

Ever think about doing historical Battlefields? I have no idea how it would work, But it would be cool if i could fight at Marathon, Plataea, or Salamis, Relive Pyrrhos campaign, etc.

 and at Marathon there could be the Athenian and Plataean burial mounds! It'd heaps good!

only bad thing that i really mind is that i never see lords and vassals walking around, it gets boring after sometime when u dont have anyone to fight with without siegeing or chasing pirates and bandits

maybe a special quest that trigger all vassals to go to a  definite point inside their own kingdom and then go to a certain place where other vassals should be waiting

Download the bugfix

it would be very useful [?] if in the weapon selection tab during battle you could select if you want your troops to use spears or swords, as both are 1 handed weapons.

Adding thowable heads ( changing stones to heads? ) or adding units called 'head hurlers' and the effect is lowering enemy morale.

This is supposed to be a historical mod. unless you can provide proof, Im pretty sure there was no such thing as head hurlers in the ancient "European" world.

This is a perfect quote that i found on another forum; "Indeed... throwing a collected head away was the same for a Briton as having your own Maserati trashed to me and you."
Heads where so important to the celts that some soldiers would start collecting heads before the battle even finished.

Edit: Dude dont delete your posts. This is a suggestion thread and you gave your suggestions.

Well,

Some of my suggestions/thoughts:

1-I love the unique troops of each city, so I think more cities should have their uniques.
2-I like 2 features of Imperium Romanum, a Brytenwalda sub mod, which brings head explosions and weapons (not shields) breaking.
3-Rename tournments to Olympic games instead.
4-I miss the bounty hunter missions given by the tavern keepers. And the vilains should no wear dark age equipments.
5-There should be at least one women´s Greek cloth, they all use vanilla´s and I think it breaks the atmosphere when you enter a castle.
6-I´ve hired Helean bodyguads but they have not followed me inside cities, so I got robbed, heheheh.
7-I´ve escorted a caravan across the sea and its icon was a horse. Was not it supposed to be a ship?
8-Thracian swords should only be sold in thracian markets and so on. Morgh´s editor allows to do that but I´ve never tried. Is it possible in Python?
9-AI is not choosing the right formations. If they are missiles they stand still waiting for you to get closer and when they have wasted their missiles they don´t advance or at least close ranks for melee. When they are infantry they don´t advance in phalanx formation, so it is easy to kill them by assigning a phalanx for yourself, you keep killing the scattered ones. When they are cavalry they suicide theirselves running into your phalanx, they should at least form the delta, or at least a cantabrian circle while throwing missiles. And, no matter what they type is they keep looking only at the player (which is you), so it is very easy to ride behind them and order your missile troops to fire on their backs. I think you should take a deeper look at the amazing foxyman´s form ranks kit because he has solved most of these problems I mention.

Everybody who complains about that don´t know how to use it.
10-Spartan hoplites don´t have spears, even when assigning them to use polearms. I´ve seen through the editor you have given them swords and spears but I think the engine chooses only one when it spawns the trooper. Is it possible to fix that?

Keep it up!

I only have a few points I'd like to make about QuickDagger's suggestions, the rest I completely agree with.

2- If he adds weapon breaking, it should be entirely optional because, frankly, weapons are expensive. I don't want to buy a Lykian Spear for 12k and have it break the next time I use it.
9- I think Lynores mentioned he was going to work on the AI, so hopefully that'll be getting fixed.
10- If I remember right, it's impossible to give them both at once because they'll always default to one or the other, and never switch when appropriate. Could be wrong, though.

Hey doc,

In fact Lynores gave them both a sword and a spear. The problem is that the AI generates the trooper with only one of them.

You can try the experience by ordering them to use spear or sword. Assing your character with tactics 2 or greater, go to Sparta and hire a Spartan hoplite. Then, on the battlefield access the weapons menu or something like that.

Cheers!
