A bit OFN, but I kind of want to know what forum goers here think of this...

Now that the UN has a new Secretary General (A South Korean one, no less; my family and church members are estatic) has been voted in, does anyone think the UN will be the same? Be more active than usual? Collapse?
 
well, before any of those happens, a special committee for each possible outcome must be formed. These committees will discuss at length the necessary action to take in order to prevent or bring about whatever of those scenarios they were assigned to. During this meeting time, they will spend much time giving unwanted advice to the other committees and forming subcommittees dedicated to individual facets of the scenarios, including subcommittees to monitor, supervise, and collect information from other said subcommittees. Once all this is done, copies of their decisions will be made, signed, in triplicate, reviewed by another committee with subcommittees to review and ensure that the scenario committees were indeed competent, how feasible such actions are, and so on. A UN inspector would then review a summarry presented by the reviewing committee, and submit his decision to a ruling committee.

By the time this is finished, the sun will have already gone into a phase known as a "Red giant" and would have engulfed the planet in itself.

A committee will then be formed to review the current situation.
