BRYTENWALDA TEAM

Present...

We invite you to feel the sea breeze on your face, hear the song of the gulls, and allow the smell of salt from sticking to your skin...

We invite you to feel like a scoti pirate, or a frankish looter or a saxon settler...

We invite you to ride the waves and feel like the captain of your ship ...

We invite you once again ... simply dreaming

And now, know the new NAVAL WARFARE system!

After locking up our new team member, Phaiak, in a tavern full of sea dogs, he has designed a realistic sea battle.
For those who do not know him, Phaiak is German, and how he says ... "I am just a guy who has no boat, but would like to have one."

In the name of holy beard! I was almost going to heart attack, how the **** you can do this.(I want a family, remember?)

Phaiakis is the MAN!!!

This is the most significant advance in M&B history ... and all done by the talented modding team from Brytenwalda.

P.S.
Can we row ... maybe in the next edition?

What's this?

Great job, and I'm surprised, you know in TW series they made sea battles after 4 games...

But will it be possible to board squad of archers and with good maneuvering, just shoot down every enemy? AI isn't very smart and I'm worry about it.

WTFBBQ. You guys are crazy!

I never thought even a tenth - of what you guys have already done - was even possible!!

You guys are the pioneers of Mount&Blade.
If Taleworlds wouldn't hire you people, it would only be because they wouldn't want to put their current coders to shame.

(As to the people above worrying about things: Don't. I'm pretty sure this dev team will make it right somehow.)

Ah, now all we need are some shields along the boat sides (are was this viking era only?) Other than that, awesome work. I may actually have a reason to travel via the sea now.

You guys are absolutely awesome.  Brytenwalda 1.332 is much better than Fire and Sword, and Brytenwalda 1.34 is on the level of what should be the true sequel of Mount & Blade, a stand-alone game worth $50.  Excellent job to your entire team.  I can't wait for the release.

One quick quibble:  were square-sail knarrs like this really used by Angles and Saxons and Jutes in the early seventh century?  I wonder if longship galleys with oars were more common.  I know that in Ireland the most commonly used vessel was the simple currach.

here is a 3rd century ship

viking longships had oars and sail, and so did roman ships. so why not darkage ships which are in between?

God, those pictures make my head explode... How can they make WFaS a stand-alone expansion and not Brytenwalda? Great job Brytenwalda! Fantastic work!

wow very impressiv!!

maye be add diffrent sail color so one can discern between own and enemy ships more easy.
