i was just thinking, maybe the troll mail should be of the same color as those new helmets, darker and less shiny than the human mail, similar to the orc armor found in TLD.

Yeah, that kinda makes sense. I presume you're talking about the mail shirt with the red?

If I have some more time, I'll whip up some black/flithy mail versions for the trolls.

Now, another screenie concerning the strenght of an archer vs trolls.

I faced a trollish patrol party with 5 other swift bows (elves)

I was lvl 20 something, with good archery skills.

Now this might just be me, playing bad, but I got wiped out in no time. A full volley of spears, axes and whatever stuff they threw at me took me from full health to empty

Yeah, haven't really got any female elves planned, no. So there shouldn't be a 'yet' there

I was playing the 0.7, but none of the troops in the troll patrol were changed. Or nearly none. They mostly consisted of low level troops, so most of 'em didn't even have helmets.

I don't really playtest that often, so it could've been coincedence. Basically they all just threw stuff at me at the same time, and even with my shield raised, I got killed right away.

well, it seems as though Espressokuppi has a technique for exploiting the weaknesses of the trolls, maybe that's why it's easy for him. but i think that the evil army should have some sort of mounted troop. i know i keep saying that over and over, i guess i'm just trying to get my opinion out there. and the whole female elves thing, half the reason guys think elves are coll is because there are female ones that are just as kickass as the male ones. humans are always all men war parties, but it'd be interesting to see some female ones. i don't see why you shouldn't include them.

Well first off all,  it would require a whole bunch of work. At least  a few days of.. 'of-topic ' work.

Personaly, I really really think sending female elves just doesn't make sense. Humans never did, and elves are far more elegant, sensitive and all that stuff Therefore, it just doesn't make sense. Apart from that, I'd just be working on this, and in the end it wouldn't add to much to the mod.

Not that I have something against female elves
But there's just to few reasons to work on this right now.
