most of which seam to haev quails models
 
i imagine all the power armour is pretty tricky to model well

can i suggest you dont release any sort of Beta untill you have appropriate maps because playing 40k on almost all of the native maps would be an abuse.

kinda busy atm with mapping but its something anyone can pick up easily if they have the time. you dont even need a tutorial as all the controls are in a help box while editing.(so its just make copy of and rename your native folder, run warband, configure game to edit mode, press alt+enter go to your map, and ctrl+e. for anyone who wants to try)

i have it! haywire grenades! playing the original Dawn of War reminded me of how awsome eldar are! especialy warpspiders!
 
native would work + warhammer stuff = fuedel world, it makes sense, just re modle the lances/change stats and rename them power lances etc.
 
haev you played any mod with modern firearms on a native map its horrible.

i mean imagine spawning with a predator tank blaring lazers in your face and frag missile launchers hitting ya, apart from maybe village all the maps would be horrible to play on, you want a bit more cover i would say you need some good terrain.

tell ya what il get some of ma old bitz out and we can make some terain :cool: good old warhammer :lol:

i was thinking how funny it would be if you added bikes but if you dismounted and the bike got hit it ran away :lol:

are you the only 1 doing this mod Reykjavikdragon?

if you need a server to do some mp testing i think i could find a host for ya
 
yeah i am, and thanks for the offer, i probably wont need it for a while  :mrgreen:, but i shall remember the offer.
And thanks for the support guys, though at the moment the scripting is going at a snails pace.
 
maybe after you release the mod with a few scene props il make some maps.

but thats gonna be after i have finished some other stuff and my exams :neutral:
 
so atm it is gonna be a mod to get the material out there thats doesnt change more than the factions, models, troops, and maybe maps(that have been quickly coughed up to suit a shooter game mode)

and then gradualy more complex stuff and more material will get added?
 
thanks, ive hit another rode block sadly, but good news I have manged to change a few ingame scripts and add a new cross hair.  :grin:

back to the problem at hand, how to add an armour, ive put the code in the items beneth plate armour so what next as I cant figure it out for the life of me and the tutorials havent been much help. any suggestions?
 
Did you do all the brfs, add the textures to the texture folder, add the brfs to the module.ini file?

If you did do all that, you can copy and paste an existing armor, and just modify the stats, and names, and file names.
 
yeah ive done that, got the modle for it, put it in textures and wrote the script for it in the items file, but it doesnt turn up ingame.
