History 1809, battle of Stralsund. 2500 Soldiers of the Danish army, including two battalions of Oldenburgers fought together with the Dutch corps against the famous Prussian Major von Schill. In this fight, the Danish killed this famous Major, with a bullet in his head. His Head was afterwards taken to a park in leyden to be displayed. Even though Oldenburg was a independent nation, they did not have the ability to field enough men for an own army. For that Denmark and France took these men into their ranks.In total Oldenburg had about 800 professional soldiers, and the same amount of Landwehr soldiers. (click to show/hide) On the 27th of September - 2010 the RGL, Russo German legion was created by Rudovich, WanWan, Crusader and The_Dane. Being one of the first non-developer made regiments. This regiment got very inactive after the second major MM event, the battle of Wavre. With only little members left, the regiment was about to collapse. Luckely it was soon with the comming of the MMRussia patch changed into the 7th Kapzevich Artillary Regiment. Needing low amounts of players this regiment kept on going rather well. The last major change was on the 28th of March, 2011 where the regiment turned into the line infantry regiment named the 2de Regiment der Nederlande. Hopefully the final name. the regiment is now called the 1te Oldenbugrische Grenadier Batallion since the 7th of november 2011.

I made this regiment to be 'Independent' so there would not be a faction that kept asking me if I would join them(I know I can refuse but it seems people can't stop asking.). That's the only reason I made this regiment for.
