Regimental history to date: founded in early December 2010 as 1st yorkshires regiment (founded by sawyer and will).
In late January 2011. Reformed as 18th "the brave" french regiment. Pvt Perkins is recruited by Lt Gwey. Late Febuary 2011. Regiment is reformed as 1st Yorkshire Regiment of Foot. Drill Sgt Perkins and Sgt Flans are commissioned to Lt and Pvt Nim is promoted to Sgt. There is dispute among the regiment as to what country to support (decision is UK). Gwey leaves and forms a separate French regiment. early march 2011. Gwey spread rumors about the regiment disbanding and roughly 20 members leave the regiment including Major winters and Colonel Will. Within the space of an hour Lt Perkins promotes himself up rank by rank as other officers leave eventually ending up as Colonel. The remaining online members: Perkins, Moon, Flans and Nim decide to  wait untill word is heard from LtCol Sawyer before doing anything. Sawyer reforms the regiment and Perkins is officially promoted to Major and Nim to Captain and then sawyer moves the regiment from the 22nd TS server to a new army server along with the 32nd (hosting regiment) and the 71st. A smaller regiment (2nd Coldstream) is merged with the 1st yorks to form a 3rd company. Mid-late march 2011. Now captain, flans shows a natural talent for recruitment and along with others the regiment swells to 28 members (from the original 5) as it is clear that will won't be coming  back Sawyer gains the rank of Colonel, in turn Perkins is promoted to LtCol and Nim is promoted to Major and flans to captain. It becomes clear that most members show a vague interest in the regiment (but 4 in  particular stand out: Gamedude, Kesen, Kevin(kevin has been here from the bigining but only starts to show his skill) and SOLDIER). After about a week of being reformed A decision I moves the 1st yorks to a completely independent server (which separated it completely from the rest of the MM community). Over a week members gradually left untill the regimental TS went down and the regiment was assumed to be disbanded (contact was completely lost with sawyer) . Early April 2011. The 2nd Coldstream, who had previously separated from the regiment under command of self proclaimed Colonel Wellington, effectively saved the regiment from demise as the remaining veterans (flans, SOLDIER, Kesen, Kevin and Gamedude) formed an elite melee detachment in the regiment (known as the Yorks Guards and under command of the former LtCol Perkins (now a captain and later the LtCol of the 2nd guards). Mid April 2011. After finding out his regiment no longer existed, Sawyer now set off looking for the scattered remnants. Eventually he found Perkins in the 32nd server serving as LtCol in the 2nd Guards. To his surprise Perkins readily agreed to leave the 2nd and resume his position as LtCol in the 1st Yorks and along with the Yorks Guards (now about 8 strong) they formed the building blocks for the reformed regiment (Nim also gladly resumed his position as major and in command of the 2nd battalion). In mid April the regiment abandons its battalion structure and the commanding officer Sawyer sets up His Majestys 1st Corps along with the 1st KGL.
