Reference/Research: Central Italians & Northern Italians

Lynores and I have been talking, and while the first release is 99% likely to be just the Greek Polis/Leagues, Macedonia, Thrace, Scythia and Persia, future releases are likely to include Carthage, Syracuse, South Italy Greeks & Italians, Central Italians, and 'probably' the Northern Italians of the Po River Valley/Cisalpine Gaul stopping around Milan and Genova.

So any research, references, illustrations, relics, and so forth relevant for the "Central Italians", like Rome and the Latins or the Etruscans and Northern Italians and Celt-Italians up to Milan and Genova, would be appreciated.

Sahran I just checked Italy ingame, there's actually a ton of room for these guys there, I won't even need to shrink anything.

Great news! How far does it go up into Italy? North of the Po (Which I kind of assume, inaccurately or not, to be "Thar be celts")? Would we stop with the Etruscans and Romans, or would there be room to have Cisalpine gauls?

I haven't really designed that part of the map since I was only aiming at Syracuse, but from a view ingame I can say there's quite some good piece of land up there. I'll see if I can fit that much.

Well the minimum 'priority' if we want to expand for South Italy/Syracuse would just be Carthage, Syracuse, and whoever was at the end of the Peninsula. I don't know which states specifically right now but I kind of see three 'sections' of possible expansion for Italy.

Southern Extremities - Carthage and Syracuse, any major states in the Magna Graecia region and possibly the Samnites/miscellaenous Greeks like the Brutti and Campanians.

Midlands - Rome, Latins, and the Samnites if they weren't previously added, and possibly Etruscans.

North - Etruscans for sure and Cisalpine Gauls.
