Well, I'll be building this scene to the theme of 3rd cent. AD, which should end up interesting. Once converted to 268 B.C. i'll just omit the out of date props.

I just stumbled across your guys topic and found out it was Rome era mod I love the ancient era.  I wish you guys much success I look forward to your next update.

Sorry folks I've been away for a bit. Been working on other priorities, mainly my health.

Anyways this scene is my first focus on return, and contributor (Quintillius)
has volunteered a Curia Julia model which will fit well with the C3C (Crisis of the Third Century) Rome scene:

Excellent model but I think the texture resolution could be a tad bit higher as its a large model. Is that the shield "health" around the player health? Anyways if you need modeler/texturer contributer may I put forth my application? I can't do armor though but pretty much anything else like buildings should be fine

Actually i'm not sure what that is.

Quintillus had just put the Curia Julia model in whatever scene for whatever mod that is, just for the sake of taking pics of the model.

So whatever else you see in the frame is not indicative of the mod, i.e. the interface is not for the mod, and the area around the Curia Julia is not the Rome scene.

Ealabor,i'm so sorry for not replying on this in right time...i was on the holiday...on topic,it's great!Very nice for your comeback and on the new model, and good luck.
Btw is this the 0.960 version of old M&B?Cause i can see because of the graphics(mainly),and because of that man's standing in the first picture. So you will port it in 1.134 when you finish C3C?

No its not for .960

Pretty sure I mentioned that many times now. No mods from here will be for anything less than the latest version of Warband.
Yeah,i know that it will be for the latest version of Warband, but as i see it's currently for 0.960,cause you started a fresh new module.
Anyways good luck and support to You.

Hmm anyone have idea as to specific names of streets around the Forum and central Capitoline area?

Just as well, did the Servian wall have towers? I can't seem to find that out.

Section of the Servian wall (as best I can seem to interpret it):

I thought it did, but I'd have to look into it a bit more.  The towers on the Servian Wall could have been added later on for all I know.

Yeah im just not finding anything on it, only rubble.

And the Aurelian walls are just after the period (taking in to consider Crisis 3rd mod)

It appears I have a few more buildings to make as well - Arch of Septimus. Should be cool.

The wall looks great!Btw,Servian wall had towers, where Roman archers and jevelin throwers were set...

On the other hand, the Aurelian walls would fit excellent with beta mod of Hegemony 268.B.C..In 3rd century AD Romans had Aurelian walls in Rome.It was built in time between 271.AD.Even if it is 2-3 years after the start of C3C mod,it must be implemented.

I've seen that pic of that servian "tower" before. Problem is i'm just not sure if that would have been a revision from a later date, or if that was just a guard house sparsely placed or what.

And as far the Aurelian walls concerned, i'm not sure thats really plausible, since i'm having a hard time just getting the placement of the servian walls within visual range of the playable area anyways

I'm sure it's a guard house, but in the left corner, you can see another object, and it looks more like a tower. So that means it really had towers. Here's a picture of a part of Servian wall and one battle tower on it. : http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://traveltips.usatoday.com/DM-Resize/photos.demandstudios.com/61/203/fotolia_426698_XS.jpg%3Fw%3D440%26h%3D440%26keep_ratio%3D1&imgrefurl=http://traveltips.usatoday.com/hotels-around-porta-esquilina-30596.html&usg=__Wbt4M_Sm9fuhMJi0BdX859-AwVI=&h=282&w=425&sz=23&hl=en&start=76&sig2=fObhYSy20zN5ZvBj0EN5uA&zoom=1&tbnid=MYQzEpaaZT_wMM:&tbnh=155&tbnw=205&ei=WrIMTtS9FdGQswbm58jdDg&prev=/search%3Fq%3DHISTORY%2BOF%2BSERVIAN%2BWALL%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26biw%3D1280%26bih%3D859%26tbm%3Disch&um=1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=741&vpy=468&dur=791&hovh=183&hovw=276&tx=143&ty=96&page=4&ndsp=20&ved=1t:429,r:18,s:76
I'm not sure which century or time this look is really from, but i will research more and ask some of my Italian friends to tell me about it.

I've found a great example of a Aurelian wall,here it is: http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://roma.andreapollett.com/S4/WALLS056.JPG&imgrefurl=http://roma.andreapollett.com/S4/walls.htm&usg=__tSWU5i9-y30hQMTlWV_VG1C06mY=&h=244&w=400&sz=20&hl=en&start=160&sig2=P98WDVJdtdO-aImp6PiwVw&zoom=1&tbnid=w2Z7CcG0LoxWVM:&tbnh=145&tbnw=238&ei=WrIMTtS9FdGQswbm58jdDg&prev=/search%3Fq%3DHISTORY%2BOF%2BSERVIAN%2BWALL%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26biw%3D1280%26bih%3D859%26tbm%3Disch&um=1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=792&vpy=552&dur=1731&hovh=175&hovw=288&tx=97&ty=59&page=8&ndsp=21&ved=1t:429,r:4,s:160

I was thinking the same thing.  I'll ask around.

Also @JankoMega, that second picture of the Servian Wall.. Isn't even the Servian Wall.  At all.  It's a castle from a much later date, which you could easily tell from the design if nothing else (that is, if you ignore the part of the site that says "castle in Italy").  Don't make this any harder than it needs to be, please.
