Banner carriers (Troop)

Suggestion:
A new troop, with a "banner" of your design that he carries into battle. This could provide bonuses such as:

Unrealistic bonuses:
+armor
+damage
+speed
+health
+attackspeed
Realistic bonuses:
+renown (for every battle your standard survived)
+reputation (if you were sporting a king's banner)
+morale
+no routing troops of yours, makes enemy troops rout faster

Would be cool to add into the game, or even a mod.

It's a pretty good idea but it's probably only necessary if you have 75+ troops.

  Would be cool from a "just for kicks" perspective. Medieval armies WERE rather big on the heraldry/banners stuff. In general, it would be kinda cool to see personal banners more. As it is, you get it on shields and (very rarely) on the occasional "Heraldic Mail Coat".

I think the only real problem is taleworlds finding the right textures for banners

I'm more interested in the banner carrier. What would he look like? Where would he be in the battle?
 Does he stay in one place or does he run when the enemy gets too close? And lastly, what happens when the banner carrier dies and the standard falls, does morale drop?

Well, the banner carrier would traditionally either hold the flag with one hand and hold a shortsword in another, or have the flag strapped to his back, or 2hand the flag. The highest dishonor is losing your flag to another faction, so it would maybe gain honor or renown if you captured someone's standard.

I'd love to bound that suggestion with F*CKING FORMATIONS! *angry face*
With formation's it'd be easier to make, because bearer would be bonded to one of formations for example behind his fellows.

That sounds dangerous for the carrier. To be in front of the formation I mean, I think standards are usually carried off to the side of the formation, next to the commander.

Good point, but the troops would be more inspired with him in the front.
