That was a beautiful shot on the first biker.  The guns are so inaccurate and rubbish in me mod that it takes real skill - or multiple shots - or luck - to kill anybody.  I don't want to suggest that you were lucky, though, 'cos that was absolutely perfect!  The epic music made it hilarious as well.  EDIT: it was the theme from Last of the Mohicans.  You do me much honour, noble sir.

Adorno is right. There are no buyable or hireable cars in the mod, and I couldn't get timeable and plantable bombs to work, so the throwable petrol bombs are my excuse for claiming that there are bombs in it.  Maybe next time.

Wondering myself how much the mod-head is around these days. Could be that he's just busy for the last couple of weeks, and will pop up again soon.

This song needs to be added

According to this extremely poorly written article not only are the police 'investigating' this mod but its also a hack and online.

When you see the rubbish some of these so called reporters actually write,"Exclusives" which are never such a thing and the fantasies they come away with.

If only they'd actually played it first. It seems they just looked at random screenshots/videos.

Yes, it seems the mod's under investigation, or at least the cops have told the paper they'll look into it.  Not sure whether to be worried or not.  No crime has been committed, obviously, but the papers like a "nasty video-game" drama every now and then, which would be embarassing.

Just to reassure everybody, it'd only be me that'd be in any trouble at all, under Scots Law, and I can't really see how I'd be in any.  The fact that they had to go to the boss of the Police Federation for a quote (he's the head of the union, concerned with pay and working conditions for officers, etc. not investigations or actual policing) is semi-reassuring.  Better not say too much till I know how things stand, though.

Probably won't be around for a while anyway.  The article makes it obvious they've only watched the Youtube videos so far, and it's only the Old Firm angle they're really concerned about, so I'll just wait and see how it goes.

Start a riot! Show those damn Polis who they're messing with!

.. actually, that might be a bad idea.

Well, so far as I can tell, I am not going to be lifted by Strathy Polis for the making of this mod, despite the less than flattering portrayal of them in the game.  Not at this time, anyways.  This is obviously a good thing, as I had not yet implemented a way for the player to escape from their dungeons.

All seems to have been a storm in a pint gless, so far.  Tabloid press.  They like a drama, even if it comes to nothing.  On a happier note, the thing that got the Sunday Mail, and via them the polis, interested was probably the wee feature on this mod that appeared on Rock Paper Shotgun.  Never thought they'd cover such an amateurish pile of ****e, but then again, they reviewed Dragon Age 2.

Here's RPS's take on GoG-Old Firm P1, which i mostly agree with (though he too thinks it's a multiplayer game):

I like the comments, especially this one:

Amount of stupid in this game is so high it creates a singularity of awesomeness

Carve it on me tombstone if they execute me lads.  Carve it with pride.

What's the totally badass an' all song that includes the words: "We're feelin' alright!" and "There's gonna be a pool of blood on the ground! (Background: Alright!)"?

That's "Somebody's Gonna Get Their Head Kicked In Tonight" by The Rezillos, cutpurse.  Good band.  Song was first recorded by Fleetwood Mac, believe it or not, back in the 60s when they were a decent heavy blues band.  Never heard their version though.

Thanks a plenty.
Also listen to this:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwQbPgouUYo and maybe you'll put it in Part 2

Wouldn't mind having House of Pain in it at all, though probably in a full version instead of part 2 of the Old Firm (already got all the music i need for that), but everything's on hold till I find out for sure whether or not the police still have an "interest" in this mod.  Going back to working on a dismemberment and decapitation mod for both M&B and Warband in the meantime.

Skipped the previous page eh?

Police set to investigate video game showing Old Firm violence

Jul 24 2011 Sunday Mail

A CULT computer game has been "hacked" to recreate scenes of Old Firm-related violence.

Police last night pledged to investigate the online Gangs of Glasgow game, which features hordes of hooligans in Rangers and Celtic tops running amok with iron bars, boulders, bottles and knives.

A spokeswoman for the Strathclyde force said: "Links to the game have been passed to the relevant department for officers to examine.

"If any criminality is established, appropriate action will be taken."

Players modified the popular PC game Mount and Blade to include bloody scenes from the infamous 1980 Old Firm riot at Hampden Park.

Rangers and Celtic both condemned the game last night.

And Scottish Police Federation boss Les Gray said: "I am delighted that the Sunday Mail has highlighted this so action can be taken."

Some good comments on there at least.
