It is either a new feature or a bug.
I am playing Sarranid Sultanate and initially I received the village of Unriya. I built two improvements there. After capturing a castle, I ordered an improvement there as well. When after a couple of days the chamberlain appeared, I talked to him about improvements in the village and got the following options (Question: Am I supposed to build a prisoner tower in a village?)

On another note, after receiving my first village, I was getting this message about appointing a chamberlain every week or so, although the village was the only fief I had at that point. There were no error messages, and the bug was not annoying at all. I just thought that maybe the game should check for caste/town possession before showing the message.
*UPDATE: I lost my castle (have only a village left), and after a while I get the message about appointing a chamberlain

When you have your own kingdom and make a patrol, the color of the patrol is grey and instead of saying the name of my kingdom it says "Player's Kingdom" And my kingdom is named differently.

you can now appoint a chamberlain as soon as you own a village.

When I only had the village, I was receiving that message repeatedly and I chose to appoint a chamberlain every time. However, I recall not being able to find him in the village. I also was not being charged the 15 denars for having him.
After your reply, I went to the village and found a chamberlain there. I do have a castle now, though. So there may be a bug that when the player only has a village, the chamberlain does not show up there; and he does show up if there is a castle/town. Right now I am past the stage of only having one village, so I cannot re-confirm whether it is a bug or my mistake.

Anyway, thank you for the great mod!

indeed theres another bug which sets your chamberlain back if you don't have a walled center... will be fixed in the next version too...
 
I saw in the list that I said that while in siege you can't retreat from battle, this seems to be true for normal field battle aswell...
First battle of the game, 6 tundra guys, 8 pheasants. One Hit KO cause I hadn't enough Coin to buy hat, my guys behind stones standing ground, their guys standing behind stones, unable to path around them on the OTHER side of the map bar the one archer that got past them and killed me...

Also to note that my Left CTRL is my escape from map button but none the less it matters not...

First i want to say this is a great Mod. Keep up the good work!

I have the same Bug with the Chamberlain. I have a Village, Mechin, and i was Asket to appoint a Chamberlain, but i could Not find him in the Village. And when i restart, i asked again to appoint One.

And an other Bug: when i use the "Death Cam" in Battle and my Men Win the Battle i had to go out with the Tab-Key. There is no automatic ending. But when i do so the program say i retreat from the battle.

Alright, so I was pointed to this thread for my problems. While it's nothing gamebreaking, it's still alittle annoying. I've seen this bug in other places before but I don't know what it really means. It has something to do with the AI stage or something. Anyway, this is the error:

If anyone can offer advice, it'd be appreciated.  This bug was found while playing Pike and Blade mixed with Diplomacy, but the people on that thread said to come here. I'm playing Pike and Blade, on 1.13, with new sound files and diplomacy.

Bug Report: Diplomacy version 3.0

1.- 1 or 2 game days ago, I asked my Chancellor at Hallmar to send a gift to a Lady (velvet)
2.- Went to Tulga and got an "Escort Caravan Quest" from the Guild Master

3.- The moment I talk to the Merchant Caravan Master I get this error:
SCRIPT ERROR ON OPCODE 541: Invalid Party ID: 940; LINE NO: 0:
At dialog condition: dlga_start:dplmc_gift_talk.
At dialog condition: dlga_start:dplmc_gift_talk.

4.- The rest of the dialogs for the Merchant Caravan are fine.

Apparently Native Game Caravans are being mixed with Diplomacy Gift Caravans.
(as this dialog seems to be specific for Diplomacy Gift Caravans, not Regular Game Caravans)

Another 2 Bug Reports: Diplomacy version 3.0

Wife troop/party can be duplicated if you ask Wife to go buy bread when at Castle/Town and then find her again in the field and ask again to buy bread.
This happens because option to buy bread is still allowed in her dialogs while she is going to a center to buy bread.

Anyway, the second bug is after wife bought the bread and is travelling back to Player center or Court, it usually allways says "Travelling to {!} collective ally.", she travels for a while and then disappears. Then she respawns at Player center or Court.

I didn't see this behaviour in native:

If I join a tournament, lose or win, and leave the town only to come a back a few seconds later, i am able to join the tournament again...

Same for me, noted since Diplomacy 3.0

On another note, I noticed that after the battle continuation feature was implemented, I can retreat from battle just by pressing the
Code:
Tab
button. Is there a way to get the confirmation window back? It is disappointing when I touch the button by mistake when going for a tilde(~) and lose a dozen troops for nothing.
 
When I go to buy production houses from Guild Masters, regardless of town or Lord relation, I never get a conversation option to buy it. nothing shows up different from what it was prior to them adding in production houses.

Hi!

Maybe in the town their is a feast. Then there are two or three tounaments a day, as long as the feast is going.
