To make the release of the long awaited patch the best it can possibly be, and to reward you for waiting so long, we have decided to host a massive event. On the 26th Of September at 19:00 BST we will attempt to re-enact the Battle of Waterloo. This will also be the release of the next patch for Mount and Musket: Battalion. We will represent the epic clash between Britain and France as best we can, with hopefully more than 120 players turning up. For this we are using one of the 22nds servers.
How will it work?
Each team, (Britain or France) will be separated into 6 regiments (squads of 10 players). Each regiment will have a commander. Each team will also have a leader, either Wellington, or Napoleon. The Regiments are actual regiments that fought that day, 3 line, 1 cavalry, 1 light infantry, and 1 artillery. The line infantry will be required to line up, like they would in a real battle, while the others are more flexible. The battle will be fought on our Waterloo map, best of 7 rounds wins.
How will the artillery regiments work?
They also have 10 men, 6 for the 3 cannons, 3 shooting, the other 3 to act as replacements/guards. 1 artillery officer. The remaining three will act as Napoleon/Wellington's personal guards/banner carrier.
How to join up?
First, look at the list of regiments below, then post in the thread with your name, regiment, and whether you wish to be considered as an officer or not. Make sure your regiment has not already been filled, as this will be a first come first serve basis. I will then edit the OP and put your name in the Regiments roster. Please make sure you can turn up before applying, extra numbers will get the chance to play don't worry. The MM Mod team will decide who commands. Each regiment will also have a flag bearer, they will be chosen on the day. consider your choice carefully, you will not be able to switch. For instance the line infantry will see the big volleys and messy melees, while the rifles will only ever play sniper support.
If you do not turn up, after applying, we will take your name, and ban you from future events. Exceptions can be made for good excuses.

Line infantry MUST stay in a line.
Officers will not be shot at first.
Correct Uniform and gear (where possible) will always be used.
Never talk in global or team chat, this is reserved for officers only, doing so will result in a kick.
No Team killing.
When your regiment seems like its losing, your officer may decide to surrender, if he does, the enemy will execute you in a firing line at the end of the battle, once surrendered, you must drop all weapons, and not attack the enemy.
No Grenades. (You have artillery anyway).
Oh and one last thing: SPREAD THE WORD.
Without advertising, we will not have enough players, with your help we may be able to make this event the biggest ever seen in Warband history.

Wellington and Napoleon will be hosting at least one mandatory training for their armies, this will either be held on the current mm mod patch, or a simplified new one.
Regiment sizes have been changed, look closely for details.
Added 1 new Line infantry and cavalry Regiment for each country.
After all the current spaces have been filled, applications will close.
This is not the end of the world however, as once we have filled the Regiments, we will pick the Captains. We need reserves, incase someone cannot turn up, in which case, it is then up to you to contact the Captain of the regiment you want to join, and tell him to put you on his reserve list. Then on the day you may be called up to fight.

Advise on running with 200+ people, if you are struggling, close warband, then run it in direct x 7, not 9, it will run fine.
Captains, when chosen, will select their Sergeants (2nd in command and banner carriers) and the ones they wish to play instruments while they march. They will also organise their Regiment, and start organising a substitute/reserve list.
Ok, Look at the Rosters, these Positions have been assigned:
Captain -- Leader of a regiment, reports directly to Wellington/Nappy.
Sergeant -- 2nd In command, Banner carrier
If your regiment has no sergeant, your Captain will have to pick one. I suggest that all Captains PM their men, and start organising their regiments. All Regiments should have at least one training for themselves, so the Commander can see if he needs to replace any inactive people with a substitute.
