The summer is here! (And from where I come, that means: much rain)
Anyway. I was sitting here, playing Mount & Blade and occasionally looked outside...
Perplexedly I looked back on the screen,... back outside,... back on the screen...:
...
Even though in M&B the sun was shining and the real weather outside was foggy and rainy, the colors in M&B were still weaker than outside.

Normally, computer games tend to be more colorful than the real world (take "Elder Scrolls: Oblivion"... a fairyland), it seems as if M&B tends to be the opposite.
Since I guess the dark ages weren't called like that because it was so dark and gray all around, I began to edit textures in M&B to fit my impression of the real world... (got a very nice view here

)
I changed mostly only the contrast and saturation. On some textures, I did a bit more: Most wall textures look a bit more 3Dish now.

green grasslandHow to install: Unzip the textures in your Mount&Blade directory and overwrite the original ones. If you don't like colors and want to uninstall them, just replace them again with the original ones from the installation.
