maybe you should ask the 1866 team if they could lend you items they have made already since it will perfectly fit for your mod, save a lot of time modelling, and hence making it easier for you to create some nice and historical civil war mod.

good luck  i'm looking forward to this mod

thanks and yeah it is for warband it does say in the title

ouch (one of my stupid questions)

if you need any help then i can help you
yeah you can help me i can't find the damn map_parties.txt file (i know its a noob question but i have looked in all the folders can't seem to find it and yes i am looking in the warband folder)

edit: never mind i found it

here is how to do for warband :

open the settings.cfg in thorgrim's \editorData folder

you will see this (by default) :
#  Change these settings at your own risk
#  Don't include any spaces for now

#  Mount & Blade path
# use "." if running the editor from the root M&B directory
# use "auto" to auto detect M&B path
# or type in the full path: eg "C:/games/Mount&Blade"
# NOTE: if typing the full path, use / NOT \ as a separator
mbPath=auto

#  Module to open
Mod=Native

change both lines i've highlighted in bold

so put your warband path next to mbPath=
ie : mpPath=C:/Program Files/Mount&Blade Warband

and set the module name you want to work on after Mod=
ie Mod=Native (if you want to edit warband map)

edit : or maybe that was not your problem? misunderstanding for my part ^^

btw do you see the Sarranid towns aswell? or not? because everytime i go editing maps i dont see the Sarranid towns.

edit 2 ; you see the sarranids towns using thorgrim's editor
maybe your parties.txt is corrupted?
edit3 : that's probably because you copied the files from warband to a copy of vanilla Native, did you just moved map.txt? better edit directly in warband reconfiguring settings.cfg in thorgrim's efitor

better work in a temp folder if you arent already, just copy the map.txt parties.txt and module.ini files (for the camera settings) and reconfigure the settings.cfg from thorgrim to the new module forlder you made

btw :

heck il do the mapping for you despite the fact im not that good i can retexture and add new towns and rename them but i cannot flatten the mountains to ground level i will probably figure something out while im doing your map this is a single and multiplayer game right if its a mutiplayer then sorry i can't help you

EDIT: just figured out how to lower the mountain to ground level now i just need to figure out how to get the warband map instead of the original map to load up when i use the map editor

see http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,119318.msg2888648.html#msg2888648
in addition to what i wrote there, best solution is vertex mode (if you drag-select multiple vertex using Z axis) but you can also do same thing in the face mode (the last icon, 7th) drag-select multiple face, choose Z axis, move them et voilà

depends on what is easier (vertex or face) to go to not select unwanted tiles

best is to have a height map you import same time as a color map
more here about that if you dont know already : http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,64289.0.html

edit : dang epic fail on my part ^^ that was you asking the question on the 1st link above -_-

Hey, Vahadar, would you be willing to work with us on this mod?

sorry i'm busy on another project idea
but good luck with yours, i see that you offered help before for the 1866 mod, so i bet you could easily get some shiny models from Highlander
