Suck on that.

Oh, and very acute thrusting blades can easily draw blood simply by slipping past the rings in a mail shirt.

Theres nothing fantastical about dual wielding in regard to what historical notions the game situates itself in. You just have to be a damned fool to dual wield( In the real world at least)

Organized armies never dual wield. Why would Mount and Blade? Plus on a pure gameplay level if your one on one with some and they're mindlessly swing away with 2 weapons and your blocking... what then? You're kinda screwed.

PSU and graphics card are fried, won't be gaming again 'til I have sufficient cash to pay for replacements.

Only working 15 or so hours a week at the mo', and have to save most of it for college, car, etc.

Yes and it's possible to kill people in plate armor by throwing a large stone at them. There is a reason there were no army used "very acute thrusting blades" swords. Wait, forget what I said-- there are numerous reasons. When I was 12yo I killed a doberman leaping at me with a roundhouse kick. When I was at the army I retold that story and everybody started laughing until our sergeant interrupted and said he believed me because he once saw a guy knocking out cold the largest and most aggressive Rottweiler of the kennel with a single punch, stopping him from tearing apart the arm of a recruit. Many things are possible, but we have to rely on whats practical. A rapier in M&B setting is retarded, two rapiers is worse... it is... Night Ninja!

Martial artists (or human beings in general) are capable of incredible things when trained properly. I don't peticularly belive that story, but I know that things like that are possible, surprisingly common.

On topic, though, I don't think rapiers fit into the time fram of mount and blade, so it's a rather moot point is it not? (I'm far from an expert, I could be wrong)

Nor are swords anylike the ones in the two swords video you posted. I want to see you hurt somebody wearing a chainmail or parry a longsword with those sticks.

Bolded relevant portion for emphasis. Drawing blood counted as hurting, the last I checked.

Oh, and no army ever used very acute thrusting blades? Really?

What's this? Or this Or even this?

Bullshit your way out of that one, *******.

It is. But I like ticking off Raffy here, simply because he's too thick to read a sentence properly.

I'm just gonna say No to this. Worst idea ever for a game like W&B. If you want more variety, go play an MMO. M&B is M&B.

The argument isn't really about variety, it's about realism, which M&B -is- about.

So, shoo, random recruit who didn't read the thread. Go on, off with you now.

Dual wielding!! I would have to say...NO, if you are gonna make normal dual-wielding troops, and make 60 dual wielding heavily armored knights.  There are very few people who are ambidextrous, and a bunch of 60 dual wielding men isn't very...realistic. however, if its just for you or some companions, yeah, i can accept that. Should have a dual-wielding skills though.
Note:1)Ninjas are mammals 2)Ninjas fight all the time 3) the purpose of the ninja is to flip out and kill people.

And then he saved your life at the cost of his own in the big firefight at the end of the movie, right?
"When the castle falls, all those inside will be put to the sword. Your herds will be butchered, your godswood will be felled, your keeps and towers will burn. I'll pull your walls down, and divert the Tumblestone over the ruins. By the time I'm done no man will ever know that a castle once stood here." Jaime got to his feet. "Your wife may whelp before that. You'll want your child, I expect. I'll send him to you when he's born. With a trebuchet."
