I still have ideas for more features. If you have ideas and wishes regarding the Diplomacy mod feel free to post them here. Please think about your suggestions and try to provide a solution how things should be presented to the player, so he feels good and knows all the time whats going on.

Before you add new suggestions please check if someone else already had the same idea and read the planned features listed under Version history in About Diplomacy. In addition I will try to list all made suggestions here.

Suggestions without relation to diplomacy don't have high priority right now. I won't add them to the list, but nevertheless you can suggest them, maybe I will consider them later.

As king:
  • Arranged marriages between factions in order to declare peace or form an alliance
  • Suzerainty and protectorate
  • Find out who caused the "Border Incident Quest"
  • Pay money to support join kingdom persuasion attempts
  • Additional Pacts: Non-Aggression Pact, Trade Agreement (Pact), Defensive Pact (since 1.11)
  • information about how many castles and villages vassals have
  • lighter state of war

As vassal:
  • Implement a dialogue option to move your capital (since 1.9.4)
  • Implement a dialogue option to give one of your fiefs back to your sworn King (since 1.9.3)
  • Attempt to avoid battle by offering money to your (noble) opponement
  • Find out who robbed your villages cattle or whatever, so You can repay the favor
  • Prisoner exchange (since 1.10.2)
  • NPC trainer for recruits  (since 1.10.1)

Chamberlain:
  • taxes should have a small effect on prosperity (since 1.10.5)
  • manage fief improvements

Constable:
  • recruit regular farmers/peasant women
  • transfer troops to other centers (since 2.4.2)
  • send patrols (since 2.1)
  • Should also be ransom broker
  • send scouts

Chancellor:
  • information about lords  (since 1.10.5)
  • select goverment form (since 2.3)
  • send companions to persuade lords

Wife:
  • send wife with an escort to a feast to improve relations
  • Ability to ask your wife to influence brother or father joining your faction
  • let wife buy all the stuff needed for a feast

Misc:
  • kidnapping of wife or other Ladies
  • duel system
  • Ability to free prisoner (since 1.10.3)
  • Recruit enemy peasants
  • Find out who wanted you killed (Trap Quest)
  • Mid-siege surrender/walk-out terms (since 1.9.5)
  • Seneschals
  • Master engineer to build buildings/infrastructure
  • gift from your peers or king
  • population open the city gates if they like you
  • Ability to ransom your captured soldiers
  • share spoils between lords after siege (since 2.4.2)
  • Assassins
  • bribing/hiring bandits
  • village infesting
 
Arranged marriages between different noble factions in order to declare peace or form an alliance and if it happened that alliance is made in result of a arranged marriage it should dramatically increase the relationship between the two factions and if it has truce involved the truce should be at least 2-3 times as long the normal truce due to the wedding.
 
Suzerainty. Rather than eradicating a faction, I think it would be more fun if you could force them to become a tributary state. They pay you weekly, and in return you protect them. ie: If Faction A declares war on Faction B (your tributary state), you automatically declare war against Faction A.

Yah that's usually very common in strategy video games and I like it :smile:

That sounds awesome. You could subjugate every faction except some massive Swadian Empire. You've effectively united the land against one foe xD

Can you make a duel system? Like.... i can duel with any lord whenever i want :grin:, it would be cool! So when i beat a lord of my kingdom, he gives me congratulations about that victory, and if i defeat a lord of a enemy kingdom in a battle, he .... ( i don't have any idea ) ... maybe decrease the relationship?

This won't be easy to implement so it might take a while until I will do it. But since many of you mentioned it odds are in your favor.
 
Greetings. I posted these two suggestions before.. I hope you do not mind me posting them here.

1) As a vassal: Implement a dialogue option to move your capital (minister and wife) to another suitable location if one is available. E.g. I own Curaw and Khudan. My wife and minister are in Khudan.. I want them to be in Curaw instead. I understand you can do this already once you are a King.. But not as a vassal.

2) As a vassal: Implement a dialogue option to give one of your fiefs back to your sworn King for some denars. The King would then redistribute the land to another vassal. E.g. As a vassal of King Ragnar I own 2 towns, 1 castle, and 7 villages.. I have a bad TI and a lot of land to keep defended.. At the same time there are NPC vassals of the King with no lands. It would be great to give them land and they can help defend the region while reducing my TI and allowing me to concentrate more on a given area.

Hello Waihti, I also posted this before You got Your own sub-board and I hope You don't mind me reposting them here.

I don't know if it would be possible to:

1. Take wife or send wife with an escort to a feast, or other castle/town, thus increasing relations with other Lords, and possibly being attacked on the way by enemies or bandits with the probability of being kidnapped.

2. Implement kidnapping for wife or other Ladies in the Realm, like the Kidnapped Girl Quest or the Wedding Dance wife kidnapping.

3. Find out who the hell robbed Your villages cattle or whatever, so You can repay the favor.

4.-Find out who caused the "Border Incident Quest" so You can either ask for compensation or denounce to his Liege or declare war

5. Find out who wanted you killed (You have ran into a Trap Quest) so You can challenge him to a duel or be able to imprison him, or if they were only bandits, go and Loot their village, or force food or recruitment from their village.

Asking the wife to buy food or the having a caravan kart (mentioned in this topic) would be great if You could buy food from other towns and deliver them to Your towns.

I think this suggestion should be here, since it's a sort of diplomacy.

Say you battle Nords, and suddenly are short on recruits, but don't have time to get back into neutral zones and get new ones. Then recruit Nords, and try to persuade them into fighting on your side, with money or simple persuasion. It's dumb that enemy recruits have blind hatred towards you simply because you attack the lords in their land. Maybe Right to rule and Renown can be a factor upon the persuasion.

Can someone upload a save game where the player owns several castles and/or towns as vassall. So I can try to implement this... I currently have none :oops:

I have an idea, a good one if you ask me :smile:

You already have the option to say to your king that he should declare war on a faction, how about an option to say to him that he should make peace with one aswell.

could be like: You talk to your king and then just like the declare war option with different options to choose like "They have suffert enough" or "We need time to rebuild our forces", just a few idea :smile:

I would really appriceate an option like this, becouse in my game we have been at war with veagirs for more then 200 days and others to doing that time, and both my cash and my troops are getting fewer and fewer :smile:

Good suggestion I have though about that myself. But there are a few problems! Maybe the other faction doesn't want to make peace :wink: So this won't work always. And in addition your king has to send a messenger which takes time and I have to implement a way that the player gets the correct feedback, so he understands that he has to wait until the peace might or might not conclude. That's why I didn't implement it yet. Any easy solution for these problems?

Well modding just takes time (it always does) there's nearly nothing what can't be done (thx to taleworlds) so thats not the problem but you have to provide an easy solution how things should be presented to the player, so he feels good and knows all the time whats going on. That's the main problem here. Any ideas?
 
I have a suggestion about the constable, as well as recruiting the standard faction units perhaps you could make it so you could also recruit regular farmers/peasant women?
It'd be nice because I'm trying to get some Sword Sisters, and its really annoying to have to run around the map chasing bandits to rescue the peasant women, lol.

My suggestions :

- Ability to free prisonner, when visiting in your jail. (gain honor + reputation)
- Attempt to avoid battle by offering money to your (noble) opponement. (Just like with bandit, but amount based on reputation/renown/groups ratio)

I second this. The inability to get rid of imprisoned lords after their faction is eradicated has always bugged the hell out of me.
