Sergeant Knight at Arms
Greetings all.

A little while back Kolba asked me if i could help out the mod with some original music if i found the time. I said that i would as i enjoy the mod, and do what i can for this community that has entertained me for 3 years now... and here we are with a little preview, as i was directed to do when i had something to show. I have kept clear of the orchestral stuff and gone with a more organic feel, in keeping true to the mods atmosphere.

I hope the community approves.

It's perfect, just the way I imagine the music of that period.
It's also delightfully subtle, not too imposing, so it stays in the background creating a nice atmosphere.

I can only agree with everybody else: totally awesome music!
this will fit the mod very well.
i just can't tell which song i like most, probably the epic highland charge...

Very nice work, and I don't say that lightly. I think the music is one of the most important things in this mod for getting the atmosphere exactly right, and these will work beautifully. They manage to be suitably "Celtic" and a bit misty and mythical sounding without going all Enya on us. Lovely stuff.

Thanks guys, appreciate the feedback and very pleased you approve.

Kolba has given me a short list of tracks needed and i will be looking into it when i get a chance. Kinda busy right now though, getting married next week, and then honeymoon... so next preview could be in a month or more... or some time this week if the stars align to give me a free moment.

But again, Thanks very muchly for the feed back.

Cheers
Pagan

Awesome stuff! And congratulations for your upcoming wedding

When you will have the time, maybe you can look into this for some inspiration

The guy on the second from last video, playing the crwth and jew's harp is something of an aquaintance of mine - he's a musician and storyteller from the north-east of England, as am I, so we work in the same circles.

On this forum there was also a guy from Northumberland who is a storyteller, ethymologist of Anglo-Saxon, musician and wanderer.

Do you know what his name was? I probably know him - it sometimes seems like I know everyone who lives in and around Newcastle, it's a very small place like that, the north-east.

On this board his nick is Aethelfith:

And on the Total War Center he is known as Rædwulf Cyning:

BTW, Spongly could you check the character creation thread on development forum? Some descriptions are needed.
